Take a Tricycle or Habal-habal South to Buruanga
Exit the airport and head south. Tricycles (3-wheeled motorbike with sidecar) and habal-habal (motorcycle taxis) run regularly toward Buruanga Poblacion. Ride takes 40–45 minutes along the coastal national road.

The larger of Aklan's two airports, serving Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, AirAsia, and multiple international charter flights (Korea, China, etc.). Located in the provincial capital Kalibo, about 86 km from Buruanga. Familiar and convenient for OFWs and balikbayans flying internationally.
Get to the Van Terminal on Gen. Luna St., Kalibo
From the airport, take a tricycle or taxi to the SUV van terminal on General Luna Street in Kalibo. This is the primary hub for shared vans and buses heading westward toward Buruanga and Caticlan.

Ceres Liner operates buses toward Caticlan throughout the day (hourly service). Both air-con and non-aircon options available. The bus passes through Buruanga en route, this is your stop. Journey from Iloilo to Buruanga is approximately 5–6 hours along the scenic Antique coast road.

From the national road drop-off in Buruanga, take a local tricycle or habal-habal to your resort or beach. Hinugtan Beach requires a banca transfer (15–20 min by boat).

Caticlan has a major RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) ferry terminal the same port known as the gateway to Boracay. Multiple ferry companies operate routes connecting Caticlan to Batangas (near Manila), Mindoro, and Romblon. From Caticlan Port, Buruanga is just 45 minutes by tricycle or habal-habal.
Daily departures: 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM from Batangas Port (Sta. Clara). Arrives Caticlan ~10 hours later. RORO vessel accommodates passengers AND vehicles (cars, motorcycles, buses). 5 accommodation classes from reclining seats to VIP room. WiFi in common areas, on-board food service available.

Daily trips by FastCat (operated by Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corp). ~3.5 hours travel time. RORO service can take motorcycles and cars. Good option for travelers coming from southern Oriental Mindoro heading down to Panay.
Newer route linking Occidental Mindoro to Caticlan. Operates Mon/Wed/Fri (Mindoro to Caticlan) and Tue/Thu/Sat (Caticlan to Mindoro). Departs 10:00 AM. Accommodates motorcycles, cars, buses, cargo trucks. Includes WiFi, meals for drivers, and coffee.
Long-haul option: RORO bus that loads onto the ferry at Batangas and drives off at Caticlan. The bus continues overland including through Buruanga. Total journey from Manila (~16 hours). Fares ~₱1,200–₱1,800 including all ferry crossings. A true door-to-destination experience.

Once your ferry docks at Caticlan Jetty Port, Buruanga is just a short ride away. Take a tricycle (~40–45 min, ₱300–₱500 chartered) or habal-habal (~₱150–₱250) heading south along the national road. If you drove your vehicle onto the RORO ferry, simply drive off and head south Buruanga is 14 km from Caticlan Port.
